Report on Savitribai Phule birth anniversary celebration -
On 3 January 2026, Savitribai Jayanti was celebrated with great respect at N.K.E.S. High School, Wadala. The programme was organised to honour the birth anniversary of Savitribai Phule, the first woman teacher of India. The celebration was conducted under the theme “Lek Vachva, Lek Shikva”, highlighting the importance of girls’ education. As part of the programme, students participated in book reading activities, promoting the habit of reading among girl students. Girl students delivered inspiring speeches in English, Marathi and Hindi, expressing their thoughts on women empowerment and education. The programme encouraged students to follow Savitribai Phule’s ideals and created awareness about the value of educating girls.
