District-Level Kabaddi Tournament was organized by the District Sports Officer, Mumbai at the Shri Rajiv Gandhi Sports Complex in Dharavi .The competition was held from 6th to 8th October.
The tournament featured matches in the Under-14 (Boys and Girls) and Under-17 (Boys and Girls) categories. A total of 75 teams participated in the Under-14 category and Under-17 category from across Mumbai city.
It was a nail biting match Under-14 Boys and Girls categories, students of N.K.E.S. School who maintained a strong lead throughout the competition. During the tournament, N.K.E.S. School faced several reputed schools, but under the leadership of team captains Pramey Tawari and Shiva Sharma, along with outstanding player Sarthak Bhayde, and under the guidance of coaches Mr. Jayesh Shivgan, Mr. Hrishi, and physical education teachers Mr. Santosh Kumar and Mrs. Shakuntala Wagh, the team delivered a powerful performance.
In the final match, N.K.E.S. School defeated V.N. Sule School with a score of 46–40, clinching the championship trophy.
The Principal, Mrs. Nitina Shukla, along with the Management Committee President, Mr. Parthasarathy, and members Mr. Anant Banwasi and Mrs. Padmaja Banwasi, congratulated the students for their remarkable achievement.
With this victory, N.K.E.S. School has now secured its place in the Divisional Level Tournament, representing Mumbai City.
